Origin
President Dr Li He-shun, the founder of Bing Han International Group, came from a small fishing village named “Shuang Chun” at the southwestern coast of Taiwan. He was born into a poor family; his father was a disabled man and his mother, capable of making a living though, was too feeble to earn much by working. For this reason, President Li had to seek a way to make money in order to provide food for his many young brothers and sisters early in his childhood.
Despite growing in a poor family, President Li was never resentful. He not only took care of the family, but was also determined to be a doctor in the future because he witnessed his parent’s suffering from illness.
After practicing medicine for years, President Li felt that there’s still inadequacy in the medical system for economically disadvantaged patients. Thus, he ceased his medical practice and with an inspiration of humanity, founded Bing Han Pharmaceutical Factory and Fa Han Enterprise – the former specializing in production of premium ginseng products and the latter is engaged in operation through a multilevel marketing system – aiming to help people restore their health and wealth. That is what Bing Han International Group started on.
From a three-person opportunity meeting (OPP) to a business network comprising hundreds of thousands distributors
“Bing Han, originated from a three-person OPP,” said President Li. “These three persons were General Manager Chen, Bing Han Pharmaceutical Factory Director Lai, and me.” Speaking of the past, President Li always cheerfully shares his story with others in a humorous way, as if he never experienced that embarrassing situation. In contrast, his persistent and brave entrepreneurship often inspires his fellow partners.
On February 10, 1991, the first Bing Han OPP was held in a small room at Hsintien. There were only the three participant, President Li still completed the session, including company introduction, product presentation, and compensation plan description. The other two participants were moved by his sturdy faith and courageous leadership and decided to follow him.

Responsibility of building up a sustainable operational environment
“Those who cultivated with their tears will finally cheer with their harvest!” Thanks to the efforts made by the president and general manager, the number of Bing Han members increased with the organization’s expansion. Accordingly, President Li began to purchase new premises to assure his business members with determination and confidence of a sustainable operation. With this ambition, the Company started from Shang-Lun village, Rende District, Tainan City and purchased a piece of land at Cheng Gong Street, Guantian Industrial Park, Tainan City for Bing Han Pharmaceutical Factory, a land at Tucheng, New Taipei City for its branch office, a land at Madou District, Tainan City for its headquarters building, and several premises for seminar session throughout the island.
The president’s assumption of risks and considerate arrangement were thought to be outstanding; even now, these visionary achievements are quite impressive and leave other competitors far behind.
Political Involvement: from local councillor to congress legislator
In 1998, President Li returned to his hometown Tainan County as a candidate in the councillors’ election, which initiated his political career. President Li didn’t participate in the election for reputation; instead, he simply tried to bring about a better life for the public through political initiative. His unselfish contributions soon received vast support and was elected with a record-high popular vote and further elected as the Deputy Speaker and Speaker of the Tainan County Council. During his tenure as the Speaker, President Li always kept a low profile even though the county’s performance in many aspects was rated No.1, under his leadership. However, his unwavering dedication and integrity had drawn wide attention. In 2002, the Kuomintang (KMT) invited him to be a legislator at-large of the 5th legislative Yuan. Thus, he widened his service scope then and was re-elected as the legislator of the 6th legislative Yuan, continuing his devotion to speak for the people.
Devotion to benevolence
To express appreciation for great support from many persons and attribute his success to the society, President Li founded a charitable foundation under his mother’s name (Li Huang Yu-Lan) in Tainan, out of gratitude for people’s help in the course of his career.

1989
In 1989, Dr Li, He-Shun’s organized and funded a professional team of 42 traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) practitioners to research and perfect the propriety technology used to start producing his own ginseng product, Bing Han Ginseng Powder.
1991
Bing Han Ginseng Powder was officially launched in Taiwan.
1993
Bing Han invested NTD 270 million to build 5,958 sq.m of Bing Han Pharmaceutical Factory located at No 81, Cheng Gong Street, Guantian Industrial Park, Tainan City, Taiwan.
1994
Purchase 1,324 sq.m of land at NTD 120 million in Tucheng District, New Taipei City in Taiwan as the construction site for Fa Han Company Taipei Branch.
1995
The first overseas partner-Bing Han Enterprise Sdn. Bhd., Malaysia was established.
Bing Han partner, Gincare Int’l Ent Co. Ltd. was founded in Taiwan to manage global markets, and has led Bing Han to a booming prosperity worldwide.
1996
Investment of NTD1 billion in the construction of a 5,958 sq.m of Bing Han headquarters in Madou District, Tainan City ,Taiwan. Fa Han head office was located here.
1998
Bing Han headquarters building was officially opened in November 28.
1999
Additional land purchase (5,958sq.m) for Bing Han Pharmaceutical Factory; total factory area increased up to 11,916 sq.m.
Engagement in benevolent activities – Li Huang Yu-Lan Charitable Foundation officially organized.
Bing Han Canada, the overseas corporate enterprise – was established and also commenced operation in North America.
2000
Bing Han Hong Kong, the overseas corporate enterprise was established.
2001
Bing Han Pharmaceutical Factory certified as a GMP manufacturer for Chinese medicine by the Committee of Chinese Medicine and Pharmacy, Department of Health, Taiwan.
Overseas cooperative enterprise – Bing Han Japan and Bing Han Indonesia were established.
2002
QA achievement – Bing Han Pharmaceutical Factory received ISO 9001:2000 certificate for quality management system.
2003
Expansion of 6,620 sq.m for Bing Han Headquarters. The total plant size reached 12,578 sq.m.
2004
Overseas cooperative enterprises across U.S.A., Singapore, and Vietnam were established in succession.
Bing Han U.S.A. became a member of the Multi-Level Marketing Int’l Association (MLMIA), achieving a milestone for Bing Han’s development in North America.
2005
Overseas cooperative enterprises – Bing Han China Headquarters was established in Shanghai, taking in charge of China markets.
QA achievement – Bing Han Pharmaceutical Factory received ISO 9001:2000 revalidation.
A remarkable R&D result: successful cultivation of ginseng in subtropical climate in Taiwan, received wide recognition from specialists and academic community.

2008
The “Han Shan Bio-Tech Corp” was officially launched, offering various products to enrich the quality of people’s lives.
2011
Bing Han Ginseng Flowers obtained “Imported Health Food Approval Certificate” from China Food and Drug Administration.
Bing Han Pharmaceutical Factory Co., Ltd. applied and passed the guidance of industrial tourism in industrial districts and become the first tourism factory in industrial district.
2012
Bing Han Honey Sliced Ginseng obtained “Imported Health Food Approval Certificate” from China Food and Drug Administration.
Bing Han Ginseng Powder obtained drug permit license.
2013
Bing Han’s planting bases on Changbai Mountain obtained organic certification from America and European Union.
Overseas cooperative enterprises, Bing Han Russia was established.
2014
Products of Bing Han Pharmaceutical Factory Co., Ltd. obtained organic certification from America, European Union and Taiwan.
